MYCBP

Description

The MYCBP (MYC binding protein) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

MYCBP (C-Myc-binding protein) is a protein encoded by the MYCBP gene in humans. It binds to the N-terminal region of MYC (MYC proto-oncogene protein) and stimulates the activation of E box-dependent transcription by MYC. MYCBP interacts with proteins such as AKAP1, C3orf15, and Myc.

MYCBP regulates the transcriptional activity of MYC by enhancing the activation of E box-dependent transcription.

MYCBP is also known as AMY-1.
