Description

The MVD (mevalonate diphosphate decarboxylase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (MVD) is the interior ministry of Russia. It is responsible for law enforcement, including the Police of Russia, Migration Affairs, Drugs Control, Traffic Safety, the Centre for Combating Extremism, and the Investigative Department. The MVD was established in 1802 during the Russian Empire and has undergone several changes throughout history. It was initially responsible for a wide range of functions, but most of them were transferred to other ministries over time. The MVD is headquartered in Moscow and is led by Vladimir Kolokoltsev, who has served as the Minister of Internal Affairs since 2012.
