MTUS2

Description

The MTUS2 (microtubule associated scaffold protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

MTUS2 binds microtubules and, in conjunction with MAPRE1, directs the microtubule depolymerase KIF2C to the growing ends of microtubules. This interaction potentially regulates microtubule dynamics at their distal tip.

MTUS2 is also known as CAZIP, ICIS, KIAA0774, TIP150.
