Description

The MTFR2 (mitochondrial fission regulator 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

MTFR2, also known as DUF729 domain-containing protein 1, may play a role in mitochondrial aerobic respiration primarily in the testis. It may also promote mitochondrial fission.

MTFR2 is also known as DUFD1, FAM54A.
