Description

The MT1H (metallothionein 1H) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

Metallothionein-1H is a protein encoded by the MT1H gene in humans.

Metallothioneins are proteins rich in cysteine residues, enabling them to bind to various heavy metals. Their expression is regulated by both heavy metals and glucocorticoids.
