MIR7853

Description

The MIR7853 (microRNA 7853) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 6.

This gene encodes a microRNA. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding RNAs that play a role in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. miRNAs are transcribed as primary transcripts (pri-miRNAs), which are processed to form precursor miRNAs (pre-miRNAs), and finally mature miRNAs. The mature miRNA can bind to the 3' untranslated region (UTR) of target mRNAs and repress protein translation.
