MEDAG

Description

The MEDAG (mesenteric estrogen dependent adipogenesis) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

MEDAG plays a crucial role in adipocyte development, promoting the formation of fat cells (adipocytes). It also contributes to the storage of lipids within these cells and the uptake of glucose by mature adipocytes.

MEDAG is also known as AWMS3, C13orf33, MEDA-4, MEDA4, hAWMS3.
