MAN2C1

Description

The MAN2C1 (mannosidase alpha class 2C member 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

MAN2C1 breaks down complex sugars called oligosaccharides, specifically targeting those attached to proteins (N-glycoproteins). It removes mannose units linked in different ways (alpha 1,2-, alpha 1,3-, and alpha 1,6-) from these sugars.

MAN2C1 is also known as CDDG2, MAN6A8, MANA, MANA1.
