MAMSTR

Description

The MAMSTR (MEF2 activating motif and SAP domain containing transcriptional regulator) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

MAMSTR acts as a transcriptional coactivator, boosting the activity of the MEF2C protein. It also enhances the activity of MYOD1, a key player in muscle development, partly by working through MEF2, leading to increased skeletal muscle differentiation.

MAMSTR is also known as MASTR.
