MACC1

Description

The MACC1 (MET transcriptional regulator MACC1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

MACC1 acts as a transcription activator for MET, a key regulator of HGF-MET signaling. It promotes cell motility, proliferation, and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)-dependent scattering in laboratory settings. In living organisms, MACC1 contributes to tumor growth and metastasis.

MACC1 is also known as 7A5, SH3BP4L.
