LY86

Description

The LY86 (lymphocyte antigen 86) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

LY86, in collaboration with CD180 and TLR4, may participate in initiating the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and the subsequent production of cytokines. Additionally, it is crucial for ensuring efficient expression of CD180 on the cell surface.

LY86 is also known as MD-1, MD1, MMD-1, dJ80N2.1.
