LRRC55

Description

The LRRC55 (leucine rich repeat containing 55) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

LRRC55 is an auxiliary protein that interacts with the large-conductance, voltage and calcium-activated potassium channel (BK alpha). It modulates the channel's gating properties, specifically by shifting the voltage dependence of activation towards more negative potentials, even in the absence of calcium.

LRRC55 is also known as -.
