LRRC52

Description

The LRRC52 (leucine rich repeat containing 52) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

LRRC52 is an auxiliary protein for the large-conductance, voltage and calcium-activated potassium channel (BK alpha). It modulates the gating properties of BK channels by shifting the voltage dependence of activation towards hyperpolarization, even in the absence of calcium. LRRC52 can also act as an auxiliary protein for KCNU1 channels and may modulate their gating properties.

LRRC52 is also known as -.
