LRP3

Description

The LRP3 (LDL receptor related protein 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

LRP-3, or Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 3, is a protein encoded by the LRP3 gene in humans.

LRP3 is a probable receptor involved in the internalization of lipophilic molecules and/or signal transduction. However, its exact role remains unclear as it does not bind to very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) or to LRPAP1 in vitro.

LRP3 is also known as -.
