LMO1

Description

The LMO1 (LIM domain only 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

LMO1, or Rhombotin-1, is a protein encoded by the LMO1 gene in humans. It's characterized as a cysteine-rich protein with two LIM domains, acting as a transcriptional regulator. The LMO1 gene is located in a region on chromosome 11 that is frequently disrupted by chromosomal translocations in T-cell leukemia, although less often than its related gene, LMO2. LMO1 has been shown to interact with GATA3 and TAL1.

LMO1 is also known as RBTN1, RHOM1, TTG1.
