LIPF

Description

The LIPF (lipase F, gastric type) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

LIPF (Gastric lipase) plays a role in the digestion of fats by breaking down triacylglycerols into free fatty acids, diacylglycerol, monoacylglycerol, and glycerol. This process primarily occurs at the sn-3 position of the triacylglycerol molecule.

LIPF is also known as GL, HGL, HLAL.
