Description

The LEPROTL1 (leptin receptor overlapping transcript like 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.

LEPROTL1 negatively regulates the expression of growth hormone (GH) receptors on the surface of liver cells. This regulation might be involved in the liver's resistance to GH during times when nutrients are scarce.
