LEMD1
Description
The LEMD1 (LEM domain containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.
LEMD1, also known as LAP2α, is a nuclear envelope protein that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, chromatin organization, and nuclear architecture. It interacts with various nuclear proteins, including lamins, transcription factors, and chromatin-modifying enzymes. LEMD1 is involved in the assembly and disassembly of the nuclear envelope during cell division and contributes to the maintenance of nuclear integrity.
LEMD1 is also known as CT50, LEMP-1.
