LDB1
Description
The LDB1 (LIM domain binding 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.
LIM domain-binding protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the LDB1 gene.
== Interactions == LDB1 has been shown to interact with other proteins such as LMO4, TCF3, TAL1 and CBFA2T3.
LDB1, also known as CLIM2, binds to the LIM domain of various transcription factors. It regulates their activity by influencing their interactions with other proteins. LDB1 plays a role in developing interneurons and motor neurons, collaborating with LHX3 and ISL1. It works synergistically with LHX1/LIM1 in axis formation and gene expression activation. In red blood cell development, LDB1 interacts with LMO2, maintaining erythroid precursors in an immature state.
LDB1 is also known as CLIM-2, CLIM2, LDB-1, NLI.
