KTN1-AS1

Description

The KTN1-AS1 (KTN1 antisense RNA 1) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 14.

KTN1-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 11. It is a transcript of the KTN1 gene, which encodes a protein called kinectin. KTN1-AS1 is transcribed from the opposite strand of the KTN1 gene and is thought to play a role in regulating gene expression. Studies have shown that KTN1-AS1 is dysregulated in several cancers, and it may contribute to tumor progression and metastasis. However, the exact function of KTN1-AS1 is still being investigated.

KTN1-AS1, also known as lncRNA KTN1-AS1, is a long non-coding RNA involved in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, migration, and apoptosis. It has been implicated in the development of several cancers, such as colorectal cancer, lung cancer, and breast cancer. KTN1-AS1 is thought to exert its effects by regulating gene expression at the transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels, acting as a sponge for microRNAs or interacting with proteins to modulate their activity. Further research is needed to fully elucidate its precise functions and mechanisms of action.

KTN1-AS1 is also known as C14orf33, MYCLo-3.
