KRT20


Description

The KRT20 (keratin 20) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

KRT20 plays a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of keratin filaments within intestinal epithelial cells. Phosphorylation of KRT20 is associated with mucin secretion in the small intestine.

KRT20 is also known as CD20, CK-20, CK20, K20, KRT21.
