Description

The KLRC3 (killer cell lectin like receptor C3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

KLRC3 acts as a receptor that enables natural killer (NK) cells and certain cytotoxic T cells to recognize HLA-E molecules, which are a type of MHC class I protein.

KLRC3 is also known as NKG2-E, NKG2E.
