KCNG3

Description

The KCNG3 (potassium voltage-gated channel modifier subfamily G member 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

KCNG3, also known as Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily G member 3, is a protein encoded by the KCNG3 gene in humans. This protein functions as a voltage-gated potassium channel subunit.

KCNG3, also known as Kv10.1 or Kv6.3, cannot form functional channels on its own. However, it can form functional heterotetrameric channels with KCNB1, resulting in a slower activation and inactivation rate for the delayed rectifier voltage-gated potassium channel KCNB1.

KCNG3 is also known as KV10.1, KV6.3.
