Description

The IP6K3 (inositol hexakisphosphate kinase 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

IP6K3 catalyzes the conversion of inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6) to diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate (InsP7/PP-InsP5) and 1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate (InsP5) to PP-InsP4.

IP6K3 is also known as IHPK3, INSP6K3.
