IP6K1
Description
The IP6K1 (inositol hexakisphosphate kinase 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.
IP6K1 catalyzes the phosphorylation of inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6) to diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate (InsP7/PP-InsP5). It also converts 1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate (InsP5) to PP-InsP4.
IP6K1 is also known as IHPK1, PiUS.
