INTS4

Description

The INTS4 (integrator complex subunit 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

INTS4 is a subunit of the Integrator complex, which plays a crucial role in the transcription and 3'-box-dependent processing of U1 and U2 snRNAs. The Integrator complex binds to the C-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II's largest subunit (POLR2A) and is thought to be recruited to the U1 and U2 snRNA genes. Additionally, INTS4 is involved in the recruitment of cytoplasmic dynein to the nuclear envelope, likely as part of the Integrator complex.

INTS4 is also known as INT4, MST093.
