INTS10

Description

The INTS10 (integrator complex subunit 10) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.

The INTS10 protein is part of the Integrator complex, which plays a crucial role in the transcription and processing of U1 and U2 small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs). This complex interacts with the C-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II's largest subunit (POLR2A) and is likely involved in recruiting the complex to the U1 and U2 snRNA genes. While other components of the Integrator complex have been linked to the recruitment of cytoplasmic dynein to the nuclear envelope, INTS10 appears to be not involved in this process.

INTS10 is also known as C8orf35, INT10.
