IL21-AS1

Description

The IL21-AS1 (IL21 antisense RNA 1) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 4.

IL21-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 4q27. It is transcribed from the opposite strand of the IL21 gene, and is thought to play a role in the regulation of IL21 expression. IL21-AS1 has been shown to be upregulated in various types of cancer, and has been implicated in cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and metastasis. However, the exact mechanisms by which IL21-AS1 exerts these effects remain to be fully elucidated.

IL21-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that is involved in the regulation of immune responses. It has been shown to promote the differentiation of T helper 17 (Th17) cells, which are a type of immune cell that plays a role in autoimmune diseases. IL21-AS1 also appears to be involved in the regulation of inflammatory responses in the gut. Studies have shown that IL21-AS1 expression is increased in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and that it contributes to the pathogenesis of the disease.
