The IL1RAPL2 (interleukin 1 receptor accessory protein like 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.
The IL1RAPL2 gene encodes a protein that belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor family. This protein shares similarities with interleukin 1 accessory proteins and is closely related to interleukin 1 receptor accessory protein-like 1 (IL1RAPL1). The IL1RAPL2 gene and IL1RAPL1 are located on a region of chromosome X associated with X-linked non-syndromic mental retardation.
IL1RAPL2 is also known as IL-1R9, IL1R9, IL1RAPL-2, TIGIRR-1.
