IL17RB

Description

The IL17RB (interleukin 17 receptor B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

IL17RB is a protein encoded by the IL17RB gene in humans. It is a cytokine receptor that specifically binds to IL17B and IL17E (IL25), but not to IL17(A) or IL17C. This receptor activates NF-κB and induces IL8 production in response to IL17E. Expression of its rat counterpart is increased during intestinal inflammation, suggesting its role in immune regulation.

IL17RB is a receptor for the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL17B and IL17E. It is involved in regulating the growth and/or differentiation of hematopoietic cells.

IL17RB is also known as CRL4, EVI27, IL17BR, IL17RH1.
