IGSF11

Description

The IGSF11 (immunoglobulin superfamily member 11) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

IGSF11 acts as a cell adhesion molecule, binding to other IGSF11 molecules on the same or different cells (homophilic interaction). It also plays a role in promoting cell growth. These findings are supported by research published in PubMed IDs 15795899 and 16108831.

IGSF11 is also known as BT-IgSF, BTIGSF, CT119, CXADRL1, Igsf13, VSIG3.
