IFNA7
Description
The IFNA7 (interferon alpha 7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.
Interferon alpha-7 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IFNA7 gene.
Interferon alpha-7 (IFN-alpha-7) is produced by macrophages and exhibits antiviral activity. It triggers the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.
IFNA7 is also known as IFN-alphaJ, IFNA-J.
