IFNA21

Description

The IFNA21 (interferon alpha 21) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

Interferon alpha-21 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IFNA21 gene.

Interferon alpha-21 (IFN-alpha-21), also known as Interferon alpha-F, is produced by macrophages and exhibits antiviral activities. It stimulates the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.

IFNA21 is also known as IFN-alphaI, LeIF F, leIF-F.
