Description

The IFNA14 (interferon alpha 14) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

Interferon alpha-14 is a protein encoded by the IFNA14 gene in humans.

Interferon alpha-14 (IFN-alpha-14), produced by macrophages, exhibits antiviral activity. It triggers the synthesis of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.
