The IFNA13 (interferon alpha 13) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

Interferon alpha-1/13, also known as IFN-alpha-1/13, is a protein encoded by the IFNA1 and IFNA13 genes in humans. It is an interferon gene.

IFN-alpha, produced by macrophages, exhibits antiviral activity. It stimulates the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.
