Description

The HSPA4 (heat shock protein family A (Hsp70) member 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

Heat shock 70 kDa protein 4 is a protein encoded by the HSPA4 gene in humans. While initially thought to belong to the heat shock protein 70 family, it is now classified as a member of the Hsp110 family and is the human equivalent of the mouse Apg-2 protein.

HSPA4 is also known as APG-2, HEL-S-5a, HS24/P52, HSPH2, RY, hsp70, hsp70RY.
