HSPA14

Description

The HSPA14 (heat shock protein family A (Hsp70) member 14) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

HSPA14, also known as HSP70-like protein 1 or heat shock protein HSP60, is a protein encoded by the HSPA14 gene in humans.

HSPA14, as part of the ribosome-associated complex (RAC), plays a crucial role in the folding and stabilization of newly synthesized proteins. It binds directly to the nascent polypeptide chain and its ATPase activity is stimulated by DNAJC2, another component of the RAC.

HSPA14 is also known as HSP70-4, HSP70L1, MSANTD7.
