HOXC13-AS

Description

The HOXC13-AS (HOXC13 antisense RNA) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 12.

HOXC13-AS is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 12. It is transcribed from the opposite strand of the HOXC13 gene, which encodes a transcription factor involved in the development of limbs, genitalia, and other tissues. The function of HOXC13-AS is not fully understood, but it may play a role in regulating the expression of HOXC13. Studies have shown that HOXC13-AS expression is dysregulated in certain cancers, suggesting it may be involved in cancer development. Further research is needed to clarify the role of HOXC13-AS in normal and diseased states.

The function of HOXC13-AS is not well understood, and it is thought to be a non-coding RNA. However, there is some evidence that it may play a role in regulating the expression of HOXC13, a gene that is involved in the development of the limbs, genitals, and other parts of the body. Further research is needed to fully elucidate the functional role of HOXC13-AS.

HOXC13-AS is also known as HOXC-AS5.
