The HNRNPH2 (heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein H2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.

HNRNPH2, also known as FTP-3 or Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein H', is a key component of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) complexes. These complexes play a crucial role in the processing of pre-messenger RNA (pre-mRNA) molecules. The pre-mRNAs are converted into functional, translatable messenger RNAs (mRNAs) that can be transported to the cytoplasm for protein synthesis. HNRNPH2 contributes to this process by binding to poly(RG), a sequence motif found in pre-mRNAs.

HNRNPH2 is also known as FTP3, HNRPH', HNRPH2, MRXSB, NRPH2, hnRNPH'.
