HNRNPF

Description

The HNRNPF (heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein F) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

HNRNPF is involved in the processing of pre-messenger RNA (pre-mRNA) into mature messenger RNA (mRNA), which is then translated into proteins. It plays a crucial role in alternative splicing, a process where different protein isoforms can be generated from the same gene. HNRNPF binds to G-rich sequences in pre-mRNA and keeps the target RNA in an unfolded state, likely contributing to the regulation of splicing events.

HNRNPF is also known as HNRPF, OK/SW-cl.23, mcs94-1.
