HIF1A-AS1

Description

The HIF1A-AS1 (HIF1A antisense RNA 1) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 14.

HIF1A-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that is located on chromosome 14 in humans. It is transcribed from the opposite strand of the HIF1A gene, which encodes the hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha subunit. HIF1A-AS1 has been shown to regulate the expression of HIF1A, and may also have other functions.

HIF1A-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that has been implicated in a variety of cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. It is thought to function by regulating the expression of other genes, such as HIF1A, which is a key regulator of cellular response to hypoxia. HIF1A-AS1 has also been shown to be involved in cancer development and progression, and may serve as a potential therapeutic target.

HIF1A-AS1 is also known as 5'aHIF-1A, 5'aHIF1alpha.
