HHLA2

Description

The HHLA2 (HHLA2 member of B7 family) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

HHLA2, when interacting with TMIGD2, acts as a costimulator for T-cells, boosting their activation in response to T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. This interaction leads to increased T-cell proliferation and production of cytokines, a process facilitated by the AKT signaling pathway.

HHLA2 is also known as B7-H5, B7-H7, B7H7, B7y.
