Description

HDRFP3 (Heparin-binding defensin-related peptide 3) is a small, cationic antimicrobial peptide that is mainly secreted by specialized neutrophils known as Paneth cells in the small intestine. It plays a pivotal role in maintaining a healthy mucosal microbiome by eliminating potential pathogens. HDRFP3 possesses both antimicrobial and immunomodulatory properties, making it an essential component of the host's innate immune defense.
