GXYLT2

Description

The GXYLT2 (glucoside xylosyltransferase 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

This enzyme is a glycosyltransferase that plays a crucial role in the modification of Notch proteins. It elongates the O-linked glucose attached to EGF-like repeats in the extracellular domain of Notch proteins by adding xylose.

GXYLT2 is also known as GLT8D4.
