GTF2F2

Description

The GTF2F2 (general transcription factor IIF subunit 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

General transcription factor IIF subunit 2 is a protein encoded by the GTF2F2 gene in humans. It interacts with POLR2E and HTATSF1.

TFIIF is a general transcription initiation factor. It binds to RNA polymerase II and helps recruit it to the initiation complex, working in collaboration with TFIIB.

GTF2F2 is also known as BTF4, RAP30, TF2F2, TFIIF.
