GTF2A2

Description

The GTF2A2 (general transcription factor IIA subunit 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

GTF2A2, also known as Transcription Initiation Factor IIA subunit 2, is a critical component of the transcription machinery responsible for RNA polymerase II-mediated gene expression. It works in conjunction with TATA-binding protein (TBP) to facilitate the activation of transcription.

GTF2A2 is also known as HsT18745, T18745, TF2A2, TFIIA, TFIIA-12, TFIIA-gamma, TFIIAS.
