GSTO2
Description
The GSTO2 (glutathione S-transferase omega 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.
Glutathione S-transferase omega-2 is an enzyme encoded by the GSTO2 gene in humans.
GSTO2 exhibits glutathione-dependent thiol transferase activity. It has high dehydroascorbate reductase activity, potentially contributing to the recycling of ascorbic acid. This enzyme participates in the biotransformation of inorganic arsenic and reduces monomethylarsonic acid (MMA).
GSTO2 is also known as GSTO 2-2, bA127L20.1.
