GRWD1

Description

The GRWD1 (glutamate rich WD repeat containing 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

GRWD1, also known as Glutamate-rich WD repeat-containing protein 1, is a WD40 repeat protein encoded by the GRWD1 gene in humans. It localizes to the nucleus and plays a role in regulating chromatin openness and loading of MCM helicase.

GRWD1 is a histone-binding protein that regulates chromatin dynamics and the loading of minichromosome maintenance (MCM) complex at replication origins. It likely promotes chromatin openness to facilitate these processes.

GRWD1 is also known as CDW4, GRWD, RRB1, WDR28.
