GRINA

Description

The GRINA (glutamate ionotropic receptor NMDA type subunit associated protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.

GRINA encodes a protein involved in the function of glutamate receptors, specifically the NMDA receptor. This protein is responsible for binding glutamate, a neurotransmitter involved in learning and memory.

GRINA protein may play a role in regulating programmed cell death (apoptosis).

GRINA is also known as HNRGW, LFG1, NMDARA1, TMBIM3.
