GPD2
Description
The GPD2 (glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.
GPD2 encodes a calcium-responsive mitochondrial glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase. This enzyme plays a crucial role in glucose sensing within pancreatic beta-cells.
GPD2 is also known as GDH2, GPDM, mGDH, mGPDH.
